What the score means

The 0–100 Wikipedia Writing-Pattern Score summarizes applicable rule contributions after occurrence thresholds, document length, density, clustering, category caps, and historical weighting. Lower means fewer scored patterns; higher means more. It does not estimate whether a person or model wrote the text.

Rules are versioned evidence

The bundled seed is based on Wikipedia revision 1376018375, dated September 21, 2026 at 2:31 PM UTC. Each finding records its rule, category, source section, matches, density, weight, cluster adjustment, contribution, and ruleset version.

Current, historical, and ineffective indicators

Current indicators may contribute within configured caps. Historical patterns receive reduced default weighting. Indicators that Wikipedia describes as ineffective remain available as information but always contribute zero. A normal transition or polished grammar cannot raise the numeric score by itself.

Document context

General, professional, academic, and Wikipedia modes control applicability, not the source of the score. Wikitext formatting conventions do not penalize an ordinary report, while provider citation artifacts can apply across modes.

Source status

The Wikipedia page is an advice page, not a Wikimedia policy or a scientific classifier. Text Harmonizer is independent from Wikimedia and preserves that caveat throughout the interface.
